9.30am
Met a friend from USA at JP. She moved to Sg in Jan with her family. Her hubby was posted here. He is in the IT line and he develops video games! So her house is full of new games to be tested. My boys think her kids are super lucky! haha
We had coffee at the Old Town White Coffee, and kaya toast. ds2 and dd were with me. ds2 because his school had some HFMD cases and I didn't want him in school.
We chatted for almost 2.5hrs! Can't believe it because she was a stranger before we met. Women can really talk huh..
ds2 played with his cars and did his colouring/ reading while dd took her morning nap there.
She wanted to register her son in my son's school, which is why we were meeting up. Anyway now her son's registered already, under Phase 3. And I helped her submit the application cos she was away on vacation during that time. And now she wants to give me a treat for helping. Wow, so nice! So we're meeting up again soon.

ds1 had his school field trip to Bt Timah Nature Reserve. I signed Dh up as a volunteer, remember?
So they went, and it was very fun for ds1 cos they got to do orienteering, take maps, compass, find their way, etc, in groups. Like a mission/ adventure. Then the other segment was a guided tour by a volunteer guide from NParks, also in small groups.
Dh said the guide was lousy. He kept telling me he could have done a better job in being more enthusiastic and telling the kids more about the plants and animals. So I really emailed ds1's tr and told her that. hahahahah!!!!
The teacher said thanks for the feedback, she will tell the school, maybe they won't use the guides in future. I said Dh will volunteer, hahahaha!! Anyway the teacher knows I am joking about this last part. How can he take so many groups there anyway?
The good thing abt Dh going is, he now knows the teachers, and all the names of ds1's classmates. He knows so much more than me now. Cos I haven't met half of them. Dh commented that there was a boy who could not get something out of his bag and asked for help. After Dh took that thing out for him, he went off happily, letting Dh hold his bag and waterbottle.
This boy has a maid who picks him up from school everyday and will carry his school bag for him. So naturally he would do that. But Dh kept feeling incredulous that the boy would treat him as his maid. He asked, "Do I look like a maid?".

Good to live near friends. On the spur of the moment, we decided to get together to fly kites and just sit in the park. Then after that we walked to Ishi Mura for dinner. Very enjoyable evening.

That's Ch with ds2. Ch's holding her kite.

Us sitting on the picnic mat.

They naturally posed like that for the cam. So loving towards their siblings!
rainbows every day, do not worry for the morrow
