I brought the kids and Dh to Isetan to try out the Spore Thai restaurant. We were at the city to process some documents at the Tianjin Immigration, so it made sense to have dinner in the city before heading back.
The kids were drooling at the wax replicas of the food outside the restaurant.
Then after ordering satay, Hainanese Chicken rice and so on, the kids went to look at the carp/ koi at the pond. There was a Merlion spouting water there too.
Just outside Isetan, there is one of the busiest roads in Tianjin city. This road always has heavy traffic. For pedestrains to cross the road, they actually constructed escalators! Just wondering, what if it rained, will the machinery within the escalators spoil? How do escalators work anyway? It is weather-proof is it? What if there is a snowstorm?
Then on top of the pedestrian bridge, we saw many people crowding around some boxes and took a closer look. Someone was selling little puppies!
Boxes of puppies that looked just a few days old. The crowd was handling each puppy and passing them around. I felt sorry for the puppies, they seemed like they just wanted to suckle their mommy dog and sleep. That's ds1 in front of me, very curious but not touching the puppies on my orders.
