I realise I am having a great backlog in updating my blog, and now have to resort to just placing the picstures first.
Cos my parents just left for Singapore yesterday, today is Sun and I only have a week more before we head off again, so I actually need to clean up the house, my parents room, wash all the bedlinen, then pack and prepare for our upcoming trip again.
Some church friends back home may want to see my parents' pics over here, so I better get this done quick.
Below are the pics. Will add details when free (probably only in August, after all our vacations are done), sorry.
Above: Ubiquitous squirrel, well camouflaged against the granite rocks.
Below: Tenaya Creek (saw bats here!)
Below: in shuttle bus (too many cars in Yose, finding parking takes up too much time)
Which is why I say I treasure the solitude at Redwood NP, cos Yosemite is full of tourists!
Above: some cute lively young girls in the shuttle bus. and ds1 with the big bear in the Yosemite Store
Below left: ds1 after a whole day's hiking (he walked probably several hours on his own). we were on the way to the car already, when he said his feet couldn't take it anymore... :-)
Below right: the way dh had to carry ds2 whenever he got tired, cos our MIM sling broke. btw, dearest sammi is going to replace my sling's ring and sew it back for me! So I sent my silk sling home with my mom already. Woo hoo! Yay!
Below: like this a lot, cos they were all awed by the scenery ard Mirror Lake so much. :-)
Below: also like this a lot, cos the lake's calm, serene nature is very inspiring. If I had a better camera, and can take this pic at a time when there are some shadows too, that'd be perfect, cos then there'd be reflections, shadows and different lighting.
Yosemite falls. Shen Yong (ex-hc colleague) told me Yosemite falls are the longest in the world? Niagara falls are the widest but it is not very long, according to him.
