Inflorescence up close:
1. Took a single flower (above left) and pulled the pink part aside to reveal the ovary within. (below)
2. Then split up the white part from the top because the reproductive structures are still concealed. (below left). Interesting. The male and female parts were fused together.
3. (above right) I teased them apart, and now the stigma and style is in the centre while there are two separate groups of stamens with anthers and they had lots of pollen that are mature already. Pollen can be seen stuck on the sticky purple part that originally covered the anthers too.
WILDFLOWERS
This section is on the wildflowers found in my backyard and the new house's backyard beside us. Lovely, can't imagine that these are just wild.
