In the morning we followed dh downtown to check out a particular preschool for ds1. Since Jan we'd placed him on 2 schools' waiting lists but there were still no vacancies. These 2 schools were nearer our house.
Since I realised it would be difficult to bring ds1 to school without a car (and the bus doesn't stop at the school we want), and they also don't have buses for preschoolers, I thought maybe I can expand my search to preschools near dh's school. That way, he can bring ds1 to school each day he goes, and he has agreed to bring ds1 back during his lunchtime, then he will return for his afternoon classes or work.
We liked what we saw, and placed ds1 on their waiting list too. Haha, hopefully we can get a place. The preschools in town are more expensive though. But we figured we can eat less Ben and Jerry's and dh can work harder to make his next bow to get more money. :-) Also, my mother in law (ds1's grandma) told me not to save on the kids' education and gave him some money for his schooling needs.
Btw, dh completed his first bow -- a violin bow and he had it auctioned off at a charity sale. He didn't get any money for it because he wanted others to try it and give feedback. It was very encouraging and the person who bought it now wants a cello bow. Hence, dh is going to work hard on this one and for this, he would be able to charge and earn.
That means longer hours away from home, but he enjoys it and I will try and cope with kids at home too.
rainbows every day, do not worry for the morrow
