Ahhh... another beautiful flower spotted. It sprung up suddenly and took me by surprise. Someone must have planted it before, I don't think such flowers are dispersed randomly like wildflowers? Anyway they are growing right beside the wall of my house, so...
Anyway I think they are daffodils, cos I saw a similar pic on Dory's site!
Ventured a bit further today when we went out for a walk. Hopefully I can build up enough stamina to walk further and further to really explore this place. I still find it pretty cold, especially when the wind blows, but some locals I see who are also walking along the streets are wearing sleeveless and tank tops already. Wow.
It's quite different walking here because many properties do not have fences or hedges in front of their homes, and the pavement ends abruptly sometimes and I find myself having to drag my kids across someone's front lawn. I feel odd cos it's like trespassing. And I see more and more houses with lots of kids' stuff, swingsets, playhouses, trampolines, slides, Little Tikes and Fisher Price cars, trucks and bicycles... Am thinking hard if I should just muster enough courage to approach my neighbours to befriend them. My kids could do with some friends around this area!

And oh yes, the following part is specially for Mary cos we were skyping about Dora and Diego characters (Nick Jr) and how our kids like them. How charlene was counting the steps in spanish too. :-) Thanks to such books and DVDs/ websites, ds2 also knows and identifies A to Z and 1- 10 already, although he doesn't talk very much otherwise.
ANyway Mary was saying there are a lot of Dora stuff in Spore, but she hasn't seen any Diego things. I mentioned I just bought a shirt pants set for ds2 at a Walmart sale. And she said charlene loves Diego so post a photo of ds2 wearing it then she can print out for charlene. :-) Hey, ask Charlene not to just look at Diego ok? tell her J kor kor also very handsome hor.
(anyway the reason why he is not looking at me is cos the TV is behind me and I am blocking him. :-))
Then ds1 walked over and wanted to be in the photo too. I obliged and then just had to post this... Do you ever wonder why kids look so funny when they try to pose? I had to take so many times but still did not end up with a single one that looked good. When ds1 tried to smile, he looked worse than he usually does, without smiling. Aiyoh, so unnatural.
That's another reason why I wouldn't go for studio shots. They'll waste my money. And of course, they don't like to dress up.
At first I said "1,2,3", then I saw he wasn't looking at the cam and I said his smile's very fake. Then he did again. This time looking at cam, but the smile become a weird laugh. Then I said, ok lah, don't laugh or smile, just look. Also turn out odd, so unlike his normal look. Then i said aiyah smile lah, naturally please. So he did, and it is still super fake. aiyoh. his brother leh? still fixated on the Bambi VCD my sis gave him as birthday present.
