Dh just returned from the concert and he pronounced her performance as fantastic. He proclaimed her the "greatest American violinist"! That was what TIME mag said I think, and dh feels it is def true. Too bad I missed it. He said it sounded even better than the one we heard at Esplanade, but he says it could be due to the acoustics of the concert hall here being better. He says the Esplanade has been known to swallow up the soloist's sound.
Kids asleep already. This is what they did today.
Brought them out cos I wanted them to be tired and sleep well, since I'm alone all day. They played water guns while I dribbled the basketball that was given to us all around the church carpark. It was great to have a workout myself.

This is something new ds1 tried. ds2 just painted his own stuff.
I had quite a lot of scrap bubble wrap cos many pple send us things. There were big and small bubble kinds (see pic below). Being hopeless in art and craft, I searched the Net for ways to recycle Bubble wrap and found this simple activity.

Let child paint on the bubble wrap however he wants, then press paper onto it. Voila, we got patterns... and a masterpiece. Can teach him mixing of colours, and can print onto the paper in various angles, turning paper ard, can use different colours and can vary the pressure of pressing the paper down...
Effect of small bubble wrap printing:

Effect of big bubble wrap printing:
rainbows every day, do not worry for the morrow
