4 Jan Thursday
My first experience of falling snow. Precipitation (according to the weather report) was 80% and the snow shower lasted from early morning till afternoon, so there was a thick layer of snow.
The falling snow was glorious, it was so magical, seeing the wind blow the snow against the windows. So we could actually enjoy it from within the house. But of course, how can I miss the feeling of it against my face?

Morning:
ds2 refused to wear his layers of warm clothing and balaclava so we excluded him. ds1 and I went out into the white white snow. It felt so fluffy, so soft and yes, sooooo cold. Once it touched my face, it melted and just wet me, so it felt even colder. But it was pure fun to just dance around with outstretched arms trying to catch the snowflakes and just run around madly with ds1 shrieking away. haha. I don't care if the neighbours think we're crazy lah.
Afternoon:
ds2 napped, so ds1 and I went out again. This time we decked ourselves even more and piled on the layers so we could make a snowman. The snow was really thick now.
I worked hard in the backyard rolling the snowballs and got ds1 to help me. BUt for the main part, he was just happy to make "snow castles". He played with snow as if it was sand, using cups and such to make buildings. My mom was also behaving like a young girl again, flinging snow with ds1 like nobody's business. :-)
This is the snowman: it is actually quite ugly, I realised, but I am still proud and happy, haha.

(and my mom is as funny as me: she went to change her clothes to take photos just so she can show the people who gave her the outerwear and thank them, haha)
There'll be more snow showers this weekend and next too. In between, the snow becomes ice sometimes and it is slippery to walk on. See my melted snowman in a later post.
Yay, I am finding some joys now.
rainbows every day, do not worry for the morrow
